To All Our Clients

Our psychologists offer in person appointments as well as counselling services through secure video or telephone.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed appointment leaves a hole in the therapist’s day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Clients who provide less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged a cancellation fee as noted in your signed intake form.

Please note that anyone who is ill, coughing, or has had contact with a person who has tested positive for Covid, will not be allowed into our offices.

To reschedule your appointment, please call 403-948-3968 or email: admin@airdriecounsellingcentre.com.

Biography I worked in corporate client relations for many years. While I enjoyed developing relationships with both colleagues and clients very much, I always longed to make the connections more intimate, and the work I engaged in more profound. I returned to school to complete my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, completing my practicum at the prestigious Calgary Counselling Centre to pursue my dream of working with people in more meaningful and engaged ways. My unique blend of different backgrounds places me in a distinct position of understanding the stress and strain of corporate life, the struggles involved in feeling stuck, and the stress associated with life transitions, even when they are both necessary and wanted. In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, reading, and spending time with my partner, twin daughters, and our cat Abby.

Couples/Marriage Counselling Statement:

Conflict and struggles happen any time two people are in relationship with each other. Sometimes it is difficult to navigate these conflicts by yourself. Coming to couples counselling can be a great way to learn more about yourself, your partner, develop skills to strengthen your relationship and deal with conflict in practical ways. I use the Gottman method when counselling couples. It begins with a comprehensive assessment and then strategically addressing the most problematic areas in your relationship.

Children’s Counselling Statement:

It can be very overwhelming and devastating when your children are struggling. I am very passionate about helping children and parents navigate these times. When working with children my first priority is developing a strong relationship with the child so they feel comfortable. I primarily use play, art and sand tray therapy when working with children these activities to help children process their internal experience and challenge their perceptions of their struggles. Through therapy the child will learn how connect with their authentic self, regulate themselves and have self-compassion.
